Along the mountain flower trail, you will discover beautiful flowers that are at home in the Alps. One of them is the bearded bellflower, which blooms from June to August and immediately catches the eye with its light blue flowers. It owes its name to the small hairs on the flowers, which keep insects such as ants away. Alpine ragwort can be found in willows and bushes up to an altitude of 2200 meters. It blooms from July to September with bright yellow flowers and can grow up to 120 centimetres high. Valued as a medicinal plant for humans, this flower is poisonous to animals and should be prevented. Another eye-catching yellow flower along the trail is the crested horseshoe clover, which blooms from May to June and attracts butterflies and bees with its horseshoe-shaped flowers. It grows to a height of up to 20 centimetres. The daisy, with its delicate white flowers and yellow centers, can also be found along the trail. It blooms from spring to fall and is a popular food source for various insect species and is also edible for humans and is often used as decoration on dishes.
