Bärghuis Jochpass

The mountain house directly on the slopes of the Jochpass is the perfect place for a break. And yes, in the cosy "Stübli", the trendy "Gadä" or on the sunny terrace, there is a great risk that it will suddenly be "go, last piste check". With its culinary offerings, friendly staff and atmosphere, the "Bärghuis" is our number one place to end a day of skiing. Those who have booked a room for the night can consider themselves lucky.

Fürenalp

In none of the mountain restaurants presented is one as close to the majestic mountain world as here. On the sun terrace of Fürenalp, you think you can touch the mountains. The fact that the charming host couple spoils winter hikers, sledders, snowshoers and sunbathers with the finest local specialities makes it anything but easy to say goodbye to the restaurant at 1850 metres.

Skihütte Stand

The rustic, cosy atmosphere and the view of the Titlis glacier make the ski hut a special place to stop in. Situated in the middle of the ski area, you simply have to treat yourself to something worthwhile or heart-warming on the sunny terrace or in the cosy hut. When a Ländlermusic plays inside and creates a lively atmosphere between the three cosy tiled stoves, the seat leather is especially strong.

Flühmatt

Älplermagronen - not much more needs to be said in connection with the Restaurant Flühmatt, as these are famous and infamous throughout the village as the best far and wide. Winter hikers reach the typical Engelberg house either from Engelberg or from Brunni. The Flühmatt is also a real sun worshipper and wonderfully situated with an impressive view of the Titlis. After spending a few cosy hours on the terrace or in the cosy pub eating Älplermagronen, you'll be glad to stretch your legs a bit on the walk to Engelberg. A little tip: take torches with you so that you can stay seated without stress and walk home in the dark.

Brunnihütte

In sunny weather, you could easily forget the time here. Because in no other mountain restaurant does the sun shine as long as in the Brunnihütte at 1860 metres. The SAC hut is there for everyone: for sledders, skiers, hikers and also those who arrive by chairlift. A homemade cake sweetens the break, and if you want to enjoy the après-ski to the full but be back with the first ones the next day, it's best to book a place to sleep.
