All you need is an ice stock (stone), a smooth surface or tarmac, and a few players. It can be played on natural ice, artificially made ice, or even asphalt, so it can be played all year round - though most people play it in the winter.
Whenever it’s played, it’s played outdoors - in Engelberg, outside on a natural field of ice surrounded by magnificent mountains. Teams of 2-4 people play, with a minimum of six / maximum of 24 players.
